Had a brilliant day recording guitars and keys for the James Broughton debut album yesterday. On guitar – a true master of this beautiful instrument – Robbie McIntosh. Most people will probably know him as the guitarist of the Pretenders but he also played several years for Paul McCartney, Norah Jones, John Mayer and is now off on tour with Tom Jones. What a great guy. So easy to work with, funny, nice and, of course, all the parts he played sound absolutely beautiful. Can’t wait for the album to be finished and people to hear it!!
Thanks for the great session also to Steve from Room With A View Studio. An absolute legend as well. Just listened to the organ and Rhodes parts he played yesterday…think I cried a little, so nice… 😀
He’s also very funny and easy to work with plus his studio is absolutely fantastic. Great place with a super relaxed vibe and it does have a nice view indeed! And great gear. And Radar. That was a first. And it sounds as good as people say. Anyway…check it out and if you’re in need of a place to record…I can highly recommend Steve and his studio. I’ll hopefully be back soon myself.
More pics and videos to follow, now back to editing the sessions.
