Brother of Mars – Leave The War Behind (EP – mix)

In 2019, I’ve had the pleasure of mixing also the second EP by Brother of Mars, the fantastic art-prog-rock concept project by creative genius Mauro Zarattini.  The EP was born after a conversation with a friend of his who had lived the Yugoslavian war in the ‘90s. The songs ‘Leave the War Behind’ and ‘One Day’ are the result of these conversations, while ‘It’s Time We All Unite’ was inspired by civilians recalling how the bombs were often being dropped by the “allies” rather than the opposition. ‘Free Me’ is the only song not focusing on the war, being an open message to love and freedom.
